The term supply chain management  (SCM) describes the planning and management of all tasks in supplier selection and procurement, reorganization and all logistics functions. In particular it includes the coordination and collaboration of the participating partners (suppliers, distributors, logistics service providers and customers). SCM integrates management within and beyond company boundaries.
